Superior building process

Below we will walk you through the superior building process of Triple R luxury custom homes; a process with which you are the center and your vision becomes our vision.

1. Initial Meeting

We want to hear your thoughts, ideas, and what your new custom home should look like.

We use this meeting to listen to you. We urge you to share any inspiration photos and your must-have list items. Once we understand your vision, we’ll move on to budgets, project timelines, and what to expect during each phase of construction.

2. Land, Plans, & Financing

Triple R is prepared to help every step of the way to get you financed.

Whether you have all, some, or no financing; we work with a team of industry professionals that are ready to help get the process started, no matter where you are within it.

3. Bidding & Budgets

Once we have land secured, plans complete and financing in place, we’re ready for the bidding process, which typically takes 30-45 days to complete. At this time, allowances are put into place for selecting finishes that fall within the desired budget.

4. Contract Signing

After our bidding is complete we will present a contract showing the total price for your new custom home.

In addition, we’ll provide you with a finish specification sheet and allowance schedule.

5. Engineering, Design Selections, HOA, and City Submittals (if applicable)

After signing the contract, the next step is structural engineering design which typically takes 30 days. Unlike other homebuilders, we take the extra steps to fully-engineer your new home’s foundation and framing systems. To save money, many other San Antonio luxury homebuilders will only engineer the foundation if the new home is outside the city limits.

All our new construction projects include 40-hours of “design time” sitting alongside our interior designer to select finishes like:

  • Countertops
  • Cabinets
  • Flooring
  • Shower tile
  • Light fixtures
  • Plumbing fixtures
  • Appliances
  • Paint colors

While you’re busy selecting finishes, we submit all the necessary documents to the city municipalities for permitting, and HOA’s for their approval.

6. Begin construction

Build times will vary depending on size and complexity of the new home or remodel process. The completion schedule is discussed at the initial meeting, and we’ll revisit the schedule again once the contract is signed.

7. Completion and Warranty

Once construction is complete and you’ve moved into your new home, the warranty period begins. Custom design with peace of mind should always go hand in hand, that’s why every Triple R Custom Home includes:

  • Ten-year Structural Warranty
  • Two-year MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) Warranty
  • One-year Workmanship and Materials Warranty
